 | The
application environment of industrial LCDs is more critical than normal LCDs.How to overcome
those severe environment are always the main concern of customers. This is the reason why Litemax starts to develop SMB(Smart Module Board). Our SMB ver 2.0 can support shock sensor, Infrared sensor, and temperature sensor. Besides these, it also can support 4 different ways to adjust display brightness, like OSD adjustment, ambient light sensor, potentiometer, and PC setting. With
optional heater or cooler, your LCD will be always in their
operation range The following is brief instruction of our SMB: | 1. Infrared Detector: When turn on IR detector, SMB will react according to detector detecting result. Once detect something passed, SMB will
turn on the LCD
for your preset period of
time. 2. Shock Sensor: Once turn on the shock sensor, when the sensor induces the vibration, SMB will let LCD
screen flash with the highest brightness and switch on the alarm. 3. Remote control: There are five buttons on the controller including Power, Menu, Left, Right, and Auto which can adjust the LCD setting remotely. 4. LCD brightness adjustment: We may adjust the brightness through OSD Adjustment, ambient light sensor, potentiometer, and PC software. 5. Cooling Fan:If Temperature Sensor
disable, then cooling fan will start or stop according to the
power on/off. When Power is on then the fans work;
stop when power off. 6. Temperature Sensor Module: When Temperature Sensor is on, SMB
will start to detect the temperature and compare the temperature with high and low temperature limit. Once the temperature is higher than high limit then SMB will adjust the brightness to 50%(if the brightness is less than 50% then the brightness won’t change)and start the cooling fan at the same time. When temperature is lower than high temperature limit, the LCD will go back to regular situation. Please contact with us if you need further information. Litemax SMB, all in one function |

RoHS (“ro-has”) and WEEE Compliance Statement from LiteMax
| June 27, 2005, Taipei, Taiwan On January 27, 2003 the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union authorized Directive 2002/95/EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. This new directive, also referred to as RoHS (“ro-has”) requires that manufacturers reduce usage of six hazardous substances to minimum acceptable levels by July of 2006. The six substances affected are: ▪ Lead (Pb) ▪ Hexavalent chromium (Cr +6) ▪ Mercury (Hg) ▪ Polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) ▪ Cadmium (Cd) ▪ Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) On the same date, Directive 2002/96/EC or WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment) was authorized. This directive encourages and sets specific criteria for the collection, handling and recycling of electric and electronic waste. ▪ Sets requirements for the amount of WEEE collection (separate from households) ▪ Holds resellers accountable for providing WEEE returns, free of charge. ▪ Requires WEEE to be treated
▪ Requires manufacturers
to mark EEE products with the WEEE
symbol
(trash
can with “X”)
Both directives impact the entire electronics industry at every level, from the retail store, to manufacturers, distributors and OEMs. LiteMax has always been concerned about the environment and the future of our planet. Our strategy to support these environmentally important initiatives include… ▪ 100% of all LiteMax packing materials are already recyclable ▪ LiteMax products have not included the intentional use of Mercury (Hg) and Cadmium (Cd)
since 2003. ▪ By August of 2005, 100% of NEW LiteMax designs will be RoHS compliant. ▪ In Q3 of 2005, LiteMax will start shipping new design products that meet RoHS requirements. Specific details of our product transition to RoHS compliance can be obtained through your LiteMax sales representative. ▪ All of LiteMax’s products and their packaging materials sold worldwide will be fully RoHS-compliant by July 1, 2006. An exception to this will be certain legacy products for which RoHS-compliant components are unavailable from the suppliers. ▪ By December 31, 2006 producers will be required to achieve a series of demanding recycling and recovery targets. LiteMax products compliant with the above directive will be designated with this logo. | |
